Often at the beginning of my study time I will watch YouTube videos of songs that I know will lead me to worship. I then read a devotion, followed by a passage from the Bible (currently somewhere in Psalms). I watched a new video of a beautiful song I have not previously heard by The Booth Brothers called “Through it All”. The chorus lyrics are
“Through it all, through it all
I’ve learned to trust in Jesus
I’ve learned to trust in God.
Through it all, through it all
I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.”
It is a very special song; one that I immediately purchased for my music library. But then I read these words in today’s devotion in Jesus Calling
“”The more you trust Me, the more I empower you to do so. Practice trusting Me during quiet days, when nothing much seems to be happening. Then when storms come, your trust balance will be sufficient to see you through.”
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.” Prov 3:
I think the word for me today is “trust”.
